Court Staff

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with clay court maintenance & watering. Aswell as hardcourt/general area maintenance
  • Opening & closing duties and some light house keeping
  • Interact and assist members in a positive manner
  • Assist tennis coaches with other duties and with Junior clinics
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Minimum 15 yearsof age with tennis/pickleball playing experience
  • Previously volunteered at tennis is a bonus and eligible for our mentorship program
  • High level of commitment (looking to be an Apprentice Coach)
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • TPA or PTR certification and stringing experience a bonus
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • July to Labour Day

Pro Shop Supervisor

Responsibilities: 
  • Merchandising shop weekly
  • Organizing inventory
  • End of day sales and emails
  • Oversee court staff daily duties
  • Manage all stationary & drinking supplies
  • Organize stringing in & out
  • Manage opening and closing duties
  • Court maintenance & watering clay courts
  • Interact and assist members in a positive manner
  • Customer service driven/focused
  • Strong phone manner and ability to pass on correct messages
  • Answer phone, assist with bookings and enquiries
  • Assist and train fellow employees 
Qualifications: 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pro Shop Assistant

Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with clay court maintenance & watering

Pickleball Coach

Responsibilities:
  • Assist teaching Junior clinics, adult clinics and fill in for member play
  • Private lessons (adult & juniors)
  • Organizing Junior and adult round robins and inter-clubs
  • Assist with all other Pro Shop duties
Qualifications:
  • PPR Coach or higher and/or Pickleball Canada Instructor 1 or higher
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and strong customer service skills
  • High level of commitment and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • June to Labour Day

Apprentice Coach - Level 1

Responsibilities:
  • First step in the career of a tennis coach and enrolment into our mentorship program
  • On court expectation is to be able to run their own court
  • Able to maintain private lessons with under 9 Juniors
  • Assist with Junior clinics, tournaments and inter-clubs
  • Assist with clay court enhancements and with all other duties
Qualifications:
  • TPA Instructor certification or equivalent
  • 1yr or less experience teaching at their current certification level
  • Filling out our Remuneration point value chart will be required
  • Playing experience in tournaments, high school or university
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • June to Labour Day

Staff Coach - Level 2

Responsibilities:
  • Able to maintain private lessons with adults and juniors
  • On court expectation is to be able to lead an adult and junior court
  • Optional teaching in adult clinics (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
  • Assist organizing Junior Tournaments, Junior inter-club events, adult/junior round robins
  • Assist with clay court enhancements and with all other duties
  • Enrolment into our mentorship program
Qualifications:
  • Complete all Level 1 requirements
  • One of the following; TPA Instructor, TPA Club Pro 1, PTR Level 1 Instructor or equivalent
  • Must have 1yr+ experience teaching at their current certification level
  • Filling out our Remuneration point value chart will be required
  • Bonus: Certified in complementary racquet sports (pickleball)
  • Playing experience in tournaments, high school or university
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • June to Labour Day

Senior Coach - Level 3

Responsibilities:
  • On court expectation is to be able to lead a multi-court junior or adult lesson/clinic
  • Able to maintain private lessons with adults and juniors and teach clinics
  • Mentor, train and develop other coaches
  • Organizing Junior tournaments, inter-clubs and lead adult/junior round robins
  • Ongoing education required
  • Assist with clay court enhancements and with all other duties
Qualifications:
  • Complete all Level 2 requirements
  • One of the following; TPA Club Pro 2, TPA Coach 2, PTR Level 2 Professional or equivalent
  • Must have 2yrs+ experience teaching at their current certification level
  • Playing experience in tournaments and university
  • Filling out our Remuneration point value chart will be required
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • June to Labour Day

Professional Coach - Level 4

Responsibilities:
  • Develop adult & junior programs
  • Able to oversee a team of coaches (mentorship)
  • On court expectation is to be able to lead/manage a multi-court junior or adult lesson/clinic and manage multiple coaches
  • Able to maintain private lessons with adults & juniors, teach clinics
  • Organize adult social events, round robins, inter-clubs and tournaments
  • Assist with clay court enhancements and with all other duties
Qualifications:
  • Complete all Level 3 requirements
  • One of the following; TPA Club Pro 3, TPA Coach 3, PTR Level 3 Professional or equivalent
  • Must have 3yrs+ experience teaching at their current certification level
  • Filling out our Remuneration point value chart will be required
  • Playing experience in tournaments and university
  • Stringing experience
  • Police Record Check (dated within 6 months of start date)
Period of Employment:
  • June to Labour Day
